Introduction to Bugout Bags

Details

In this class we will be going over the basics of introducing the concept of a bugout bag. With all the information regarding emergencies and disasters on the news, social media, and our community in our everyday lives, go-bags, bug-out bags, and scout packs are trending. This class will go over the basics of what a go-bag is, introduce some concepts regarding choice and selection, and how to work with packing priorities.
We will also look at movement with the pack, how to wear it properly for distance and how to move with different heights and environmental conditions.

Some of the topics we will go over:
Pack types
Bugout bag systems
Sizing and how to approach sourcing a pack
What to put in the pack and place survival priorities
Looking at the ability of a pack to blend in with the surroundings
Practicing drills to move with the pack with regards to tumbling and falling

Participants are encouraged to bring whatever backpack or gear they have to share and review as a group. We will have an engaging discussion and answer questions as needed.

We have a community ruck afterwards if you would like to bring your go-bag/bug out bag to try out at 2pm.

$10 suggested donation, no one turned away.
