What we’re about
The Tacoma Screenwriting Group's goal is to provide a time and place to meet like-minded individuals who want to push one another to grow as writers and creatives. Though this is a screenwriting themed group, we welcome all types of writers and all levels of expertise.
What to expect for a writing event?
We will have a brief period to chat and socialize and then we will write for an hour. This will be a very loosely structured meetup, meaning there will be no prompts and no expectation or planned period to share or offer feedback on writing (though it is encouraged to do so on your own).
Want more socializing?
Writing is inherently personal, private and often done without collaboration, so it's important to have dedicated time to get to know each other while we aren't writing. Once a month there will be an event to meet and have drinks at a bar or restaurant to do just that.
