Discussion: Redefining Success

Details

Welcome to this week’s women’s circle! Tonight, we’ll focus on connection and self-discovery. We’ll begin with a fun icebreaker to set the tone and get to know one another better. From there, we’ll explore the evening’s topic, 'Redefining Success,' through open discussion, sharing our thoughts, and reflecting on personal experiences. This gathering is a space to connect, grow, and be inspired by one another’s journeys. We’ll close with a moment to set intentions, leaving with fresh perspectives and a sense of support. Let’s dive in and make this time meaningful together!

Below is the "Mindful Musing" for the week which includes our Main Topic and some questions for us to explore together!

Success often comes with a very narrow definition—career achievements, financial wealth, and societal approval. But what if success didn’t look like that? What if it was about personal growth, inner peace, and finding fulfillment in the small moments of life? Redefining success allows us to create a life that aligns with our values rather than external pressures. It means setting our own standards and giving ourselves permission to succeed in ways that feel authentic to us. Success is not a destination; it’s a journey, and it’s about celebrating progress over perfection.

Success used to mean gold stars and perfect attendance, but now it’s less about trophies and more about surviving the week without losing your mind. Maybe success is wearing real pants for a Zoom meeting or finally saying no to that thing you didn’t want to do. If success is so personal, why do we keep comparing ours to someone else’s highlight reel? Let’s figure out what it really means to win at life—without the participation ribbons.

Questions to Discuss:

  1. What does success mean to you?
  2. How has your definition of success changed over the years?
  3. How do you feel when you don’t meet society’s or others’ expectations of success?
  4. How does redefining success help you prioritize your well-being?
  5. Do you believe failure is a necessary part of success?
  6. How do you celebrate your progress, even when it’s small?
  7. What makes you feel the most fulfilled in your life right now?
  8. How can we stop comparing our success to others’?
  9. What’s a goal you’re proud of achieving?
  10. How do we shift our focus from external validation to internal satisfaction?
