Bring your sewing machine and a project, and let's sew together!

Our regular schedule is the first Monday and the third Sunday of each month.
Monday Bees are at 3:00.
Sunday Bees are at 1:30.
The fee is $5 whether you come to one or both sessions.

Although Sewing Bee doesn't offer demos or lessons, I've learned something new at each meeting. And what a joy it is to sew with friends.

It's our annual Holiday Party! This year Tammy is organizing, and the party is Hawaiian! Wear you favorite mumu (mu'umu'u) or Hawaiian shirt—or your go-to grass skirt. You know—the one you always wear for running errands. Or just come as you are. Because your attendance is what makes this a celebration!

We will begin with a short meeting and short sharing of work, until about 11. Then we'll have lunch together and play some games.

Our holiday lunch will feature a festive BBQ spread of pulled pork and chicken sandwiches, a vegan dish, fruit and veggies, and a yummy pineapple upside-down cake.

Kim is cooking up some fun games (since, following the success of Bob Ross Bingo at the retreat, we know we have a bast playing games).

The holiday party is complimentary with your TACG membership.

Join in this new activity with your fellow TARTS! It's an exchange of creative handmade cards. (This is not a class.)

Make a greeting card using any technique and design you wish. It is your canvas.

Leave the “from” part blank but sign (and date too if you’d like) the back of the card to acknowledge your artistry. Bring it to our monthly show and tell meeting to share. It will be added to a tray with all the homemade cards that will be passed around. Imagine the anticipation as you close your eyes and choose the card that will go home with you, possibly to be sent to someone else – lucky them!

The subject, occasion, and medium are your choice. Think birthdays, holidays, seasons, get well wishes, celebrations, congratulations, thank yous, friendship, no occasion. . . . Possibilities are endless.

Please include a blank envelope.

TArts' ATCs Exchange!
We exchange cards after our morning meeting just before we break for lunch (around 11:30-ish).

What are Artist Trading Cards?
ATCs are tiny works of original art that are traded among artists. The only rule is that ATCs must measure 2 ½ “ by 3 ½ inches (The same size as a poker card, baseball card, or other collectible card.) They can be made using whatever materials you can imagine. The only rule is the size.

Every month, we make two ATCs and then exchange them during the potluck. We have a monthly theme you can use as inspiration! You are welcome to interpret the theme as creatively as you like.

We also like to give Welcome ATCs to first time visitors and new members. If you would like to make some welcoming cards to give, that would be so wonderful and helps ensure we always have enough for our new friends.
