This class will cover the physical & philosophical dynamics of Taiji and related arts of qigong and chan(meditation). Practice of these arts can dramatically improve balance, the immune system functioning, strengthen inner peace of mind & Spirit, and relax & destress the body while bringing joy & confidence in movement.
You will be learning three forms of Qigong/Meditation that are weaved powerfully together in the Taiji☯︎Health & Wellness Exercise Therapy practice that are called the zhàn zhuāng, bā duàn jǐn and zhōng lī forms along with the six healing sounds. The short form of taiji that we practice is called the Five Dynamic Energies or sometimes referred to as the Five Elements, it is one of the most organic & natural short forms of taiji that goes deep into the philosophy of the healing yin/yang movement of form, breath and connection to Qi (energy) and your Qi meridians. Our long form of taiji based in the yang style is called the Circle Form that has five different circles or parts to it. We will be studying the First Circle. Plus during the course you will learn about brush calligraphy by experiencing the characters of the major moves of the forms with your body as another form of qigong called “Qi-lligraphy”TM.
