THURSDAY DOG HIKE at CASTLEWOOD on the River Scene Trail. BLUEBELLS, MAYBE?

Details

MOVING OUR THURSDAY HIKES TO CASTLEWOOD FOR SUMMER. As temps go up, this will become a creek walk for the dog days of summer. For now, we'll do the River Scene Trail.

Up the big hill, across the blufftop, down the 200 steps and back along the level riverside trail. A short stop at the beach to let the pups cool off and play in the water, then back to the cars. Some dogs may be off leash on beach, but they must stay with group and be under your control at all times. Leash on all other times.

WATER: Bring water for your dog and yourself.

FOOTWEAR: Boots not necessary, but wear something comfortable with decent treads. Mostly dirt and mostly level-ish, but there is one big hill and some small inclines on blufftop.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS:
Use GPS or meetup mapping to get to park. Once inside the park, come to the SECOND parking lot on left, just before the tunnel. Shaded spots there to keep cars cool for ride home.
