Takoma Park Jazz Jam

Musicians of all ages, skill levels, instruments, and voices are invited to join special guest instructor Gary Prince and guitar teacher Noah Gitlis for a Jazz Jam Session at SMT! With over 15 years of experience teaching jazz to students of all backgrounds, jazz jam sessions led by Gary are fun, low-pressure, inclusive and educational, the perfect place for musicians to come together as a community and improve their playing. Participants can expect a mix of playing, coaching, and listening to each other. Non-playing observers are welcome. A drumkit, piano, music stands, PA and guitar and bass amplifiers are provided. Songs for the jam will be chosen based on the skill levels and instruments of the players who attend - come with a song you want to play in mind or just come out to play!
