Hello, and thank you for your interest in Tallahassee Social 40+ Meetup Group (established June 2022)! We're a group of active adults (40 and over) in the Tallahassee area who are looking to meet people to join us in a variety of social outings (check out our photo albums and current/past events). We have a planning committee and are open to suggestions, so send them by direct message to one of the organizers.
The idea is to meet new people and make new friends - which is harder to do as you get older, especially if you're new to the area. This is a social group and is open to singles, dating/married couples, drinkers, and non-drinkers. This is not a business networking group or singles group. If you join solely to contact members to get business prospects or dates, you will be disappointed and possibly removed from the group. Additionally, inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated and is cause for immediate removal.
We ask that you use your full name and have a profile picture of yourself so we'll recognize you at the get togethers. Most of our events are adult-friendly and are not for young children. A few events are for the whole family and will mention this in the description.
We are very diverse in our views and expect members to be respectful and kind to each other. You will get out of it what you are willing to put into it. So, if you're a fun person and have a sense of humor, come join us!
Some events have a cap on participants but please sign up for the waitlist. More often than not, someone will change their RSVP and open a spot. If you RSVP YES and your plans change, please change your RSVP to "Not Going" rather than being a "No Show" to open the spot for someone else to attend!
