UX Workshop: Accessibility for Designers

Details

What is accessibility and why does it matter? Accessibility is the practice of creating digital experiences that can be used by the widest audience possible, and it's essential to UX! Get started in core fundamentals during this interactive workshop where you'll learn about common accessibility issues and how designers can detect and solve these issues in their wireframes and workflow.

As an optional prerequisite, check out Microsoft's free Accessibility fundamentals course, or save it for after the workshop to build on your accessibility knowledge!

About the Facilitator
The workshop will be with TBUX member Katie Killary – a Tampa native who studied user experience design at General Assembly in New York, and graphic design at USF St. Pete. Now she works remotely as a Product Designer on the Accessibility Center of Excellence at Dell Technologies. Her day-to-day focus is on education and training documentation, and testing designs for common issues. She is currently learning more about accessibility considerations in AI and always exploring new tools for testing!
