This group is for individuals passionate about creating inclusive digital experiences for all. Whether you're interested in web accessibility, mobile accessibility, communications and marketing accessibility, or simply want to learn more about inclusive design practices, this is the place for you.

Welcome to the Hybrid Tasmanian Digital Accessibility & Inclusive Design Community Meet Up. This month we will have short presentation and workshop on:

What to expect?
- A chance to meet and chat to accessibility professionals and advocates
- A short presentation or workshop topic
- If you are attending in person - pizza, a range of soft drinks, tea and coffee are provided (please arrive by 5:45pm to be included in the pizza order).
Who should come to this event?
- Anyone with a passion or interest in digital accessibility or inclusive design.
- People who would like to learn more about digital accessibility for their job (developers, designers, communications professionals).
- Disability community, advocates, and assistive technology users.
How to attend?
You can attend in person or virtually!
This is a Tasmania-based event, but interstate and international folks are more than welcome to attend virtually or if you are here for a visit :)Parking
- There is a large adjacent car park accessible via Barnard Drive, with free parking for up to 3 hours.
- There are various other parking locations close to the library such as Eastlands shopping centre and on street parking.
- If stairs aren't accessible to you, ensure to park at the front of the library.
Accessibility
- Closed Captions will be available on Zoom and on the screen in person.
- The library and meeting rooms are at ground level with full disability access to the facilities and an inclusive bathroom (quote from the venue website).
- We will be in meeting room 7, a picture of the room is available under Rosny Library - Room 7.
- If stairs aren't accessible to you, ensure to park at the front of the library.
- During the formal section of the event, we will ask people to state their name before they speak (for example: "Rosie Speaking: .....")
- A sensory box will be available for anyone who wishes to use it.
- Name tags will be provided in large print.
- You will be asked if you have any dietary requirements when the pizza order is made.
- Any visuals shown will be described, and slides will be distributed afterwards.
- The presentation portion of the session will be recorded and available with edited Closed Captions via our Youtube Channel.
- Please do not attend in person if have cold/flu symptoms that are not normal to you - we have attendees who are immunocompromised and it's important to us to protect our community. Masks encouraged. If you aren't able to attend in person we also will always have a virtual option available.
