What we’re about
The primary goal of the group will be to practice Japanese language conversations together. We can also practice Japanese reading and writing, discuss Japan, and Japanese culture.
This group is for people who:
- are interested in learning about Japanese language and culture
- have visited/lived in Japan, or would like to visit/live in Japan
- are committed to learning Japanese or already read/speak Japanese and would like to improve their reading/speaking skills
I will bring some materials such as comics and textbooks and feel free to bring some if you have them. I'm familiar with the Genki textbooks and I'm open to using whatever is most convenient for the Japanese level of attendees.
If you have any textbooks or notebooks for note taking please bring them along.
I'm hoping to make this a weekly event depending on interest level. The basic weekly meetup will be a conversation table held at cafes, but occasionally we may have other events.
**Please note if I receive reports from members that you send them unsolicited messages which make them feel uncomfortable, I will consider removing/banning you from this group. I would like everyone who attends the group events to feel comfortable and safe. Thank you for understanding.
