Talk 1: 15 years of Android
Android is 15 years old, and test has evolved a lot from the early days. In this talk Raul will go down memory lane to revisit the main changes and challenges of testing Android apps.
Raul Portales is a Software Engineer with a love for computers, electronics and gadgets in general since as long as he remembers. He started writing programs with an MSX when he was 10 years old. It was around 1986 and MSX BASIC was new and shiny. Over the years Raul has worked on social networks, education, healthcare and even founded a gaming studio and a consultancy company. He jumped into Android as soon as it was released in 2009 and has been doing that since.
Talk 2: From Bugs to Benefits: The Crucial Role of Testing in Delivering Optimal Solutions
Dr. Alireza Soroudi is a Senior Member of IEEE, earned his Ph.D. in Power System Engineering from Grenoble Institute of Technology, France, in 2010. He is currently the Lead Data Scientist at Bluecrux. Previously, he was a lecturer at University College Dublin and served as an SFI Industry Fellow at EirGrid in 2017. His research interests focus on the optimization and modelling of energy systems.
Talk 3: Performance Testing and RAG Applications: Harnessing LlamaIndex with ChatGPT for Smarter Interactions
In this talk, Ali will explore the evolving landscape of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) applications, focusing on how to integrate LlamaIndex with ChatGPT to build a high-performance chatbot that leverages local data. Attendees will gain insights into the reference architecture of LlamaIndex-based RAG systems and learn best practices for optimizing their performance. Ali will also delve into the specifics of performance testing such systems, ensuring they scale efficiently while maintaining accuracy in responses.
