What we’re about
After organizing 300 events over 13 years for another outdoor Meetup group I have started my own. This is a Dallas area group for those who love people, the outdoors and great food. We camp, kayak, canoe, paddle board, hike, bike, sail- just about anything that is outdoors, physical and fun. We also love food and believe that eating with others is the most social thing humans can do. Our traditional Saturday night pot luck dinners are legendary.
We are all about connecting with others and nature through shared outdoor adventures while building lasting friendships and great memories. Our goal is to develop a family of like minded individuals, regardless of age, race, religion, sexual preference or level of skill.
We enjoy helping others develop a passion for camping and paddling by loaning boats and gear and providing encouragement and guidance. Our camping trips are usually within a 2-3 hour radius of Dallas and include numerous State Parks, rivers and private properties. Mostly tent campers, glampers and car campers, we bring everything we need to be comfortable, safe and extremely well fed.
Drawn to water and trees, we do paddling day trips to small lakes that are unpolluted and free from big boats, big winds and big waves. We also do evening paddles in July and August when it’s too hot for anything else.
Our ‘Meet & Greets’ are a perfect way for new members to get a feel for our group with several dinners a month at Dallas area restaurants as well as parties and dinners in members homes. Please join us, you will be made to feel welcome.
