You can Ruck or Walk, your choice.

Rucking is hiking/walking with a weighted backpack (called a Ruck). The military has used it for training, but it's simple enough that anyone can do it. It adds some extra work for your muscles and cardiovascular system and burns extra calories. Best to add light weights at first. A simple way to workout! Plus some time in nature as well as social time with friends. Good for the body and brain. 😀 You can walk and not ruck, it is up to you what you want to do!  For rucking, no special equipment needed. A basic backpack with some weights or simply weighted material (a few water bottles, canned goods, books, other) will do. You can get an official rucking vest, but it's not absolutely needed. 
If we want we can get coffee or light breakfast afterwards. Lots of good spots in Glen Ellyn to choose from.  Participation in this event constitutes an agreement to the terms in the Waiver and Release of Liability listed in the "pages" section of this group.
