About the Program:
"The Artist's Way" is a renowned 12-week program created by Julia Cameron, a celebrated author, artist, and creativity coach. This program has empowered countless individuals worldwide to break through creative blocks, overcome self-doubt, and tap into their true artistic potential. Though donations are welcome to help cover the cost of the Meetup group, it is intended as a free, non-hierarchical, peer-run group (no gurus).
What to Expect:
Over the course of 12 weeks, we will embark on an exploration of our creativity through a series of activities:
- Weekly Process Group: Engage in group discussions and activities to uncover and confront our creative fears and barriers.
- Morning Pages: Start each day with a therapeutic practice of stream-of-consciousness writing to clear our mind and spark creative ideas.
- Artist Dates: Rediscover the joy of play and exploration as we go on weekly solo adventures that rekindle our artistic spirit.
- Creative Tasks: Complete a series of creative tasks and challenges that will stretch our artistic muscles and expand our creative horizons.
- Accountability and Support: Create a community of like-minded individuals who will support us on our creative journey. Share our experiences, triumphs, and setbacks in a safe and nurturing environment.
