Boxing Day Bristol Harbour walk (4 Miles, Relaxed Pace)

Details

Join us for a relaxed Boxing Day walk-and-talk around Central Bristol's Historic Floating Harbour for some fresh air and a chat, and quite possibly quick drink after.

We’ll meet in the Brunel Lock Carpark, Brunel Lock Road, BS1 6XH (opposite side of the road from the Nova Scotia Pub (not by the pub)) from 12.45pm for a 1pm start.

This walk usually takes around 2 hours at a relaxed pace, is around 4 miles, flat, and paved throughout.

We'll be walking anticlockwise around the harbour, starting at Brunel Lock Carpark (opposite the Nova Scotia) taking in the Cottage Pub, the SS Great Britain, the M Shed, the Ostrich pub, Redcliff, the Left Handed Giant, Castle Park, Queens Square, Millenium Square, Cannons marsh, Harbour Inlet, the Old Pump House then back across the bridge to the Nova Scotia.

In the interest of safety can I ask everyone to wear sensible footwear and clothing - high-heels, flip-flops or strappy sandals are NOT advised as there are cobbles, uneven paving and sunken railway tracks on route. Bring water as needed.

This is a joint event between BBE, BBS & BW30's+ so please expect a wide variety of attendees.

Please PRIVATE MESSAGE the event host if you are unsure of anything or have any questions.

Parking: Brunel Lock Car Park (BS1 6XH) is free after 7pm. What3words reference is star.librarian.human (https://what3words.com/star.librarian.human).

This event will be cancelled on the day if the weather is not favourable, so please look in on the event page an hour or so before the event is due to start.
