Greenway Ride - Alpharetta to Cumming

This ride will go from the trail parking lot on Marconi Drive all the way up to Cumming.

This trail goes through or along the golf course on Windward parkway, passes Halcyon, continues through the woods and swamps near MacFarland Road, rides through the woods by Bethelview Road, rides alongside Kelly Mill Road, then climbs up and down wooded trails to come out on Highway 20 in Cumming.

Todd, Chris, and I have done this ride a couple of times and totally enjoyed both the scenery and the numerous hills (only two of which are strenuous).

This is my second ride after my detached retina surgery (please bear with me as I am not yet cleared for mountain bike rides), and is an out and back ride covering 20+ miles. You can ride with either road or mountain bikes, but road or gravel bikes are probably better - and faster.

Directions:
. Take exit 11a off of GA 400 (Windward Parkway)
. Right at second light (Marconi Drive)
. Trail head is at end of Marconi Drive (about 1/2 mile in)
