What we’re about
Welcome to the Black Sheep's Club 🖤
This is a safe space for people of all backgrounds who grew up within dysfunctional families, abuse and neglect. Those who were born a little more sensitive, and were made the scapegoat of the family for it. The family black sheep. And those who have had to distance themselves or fully cut ties with their families.
We know how hard it is and what it comes with: feeling misunderstood, isolated and a whole lot of pain.
The good news is, you are not the only one! There are many others out there like you. The purpose of the Black Sheep's Club is to bring 'family black sheep' together to talk about our experiences in a safe space, to be heard by people who have similar first hand experiences, connect and find community
We host 3 types of events:
• 🗨️ Chats ~ in this type of event we will be creating a safe space where you can come and share your experiences. Each event will focus on a different topic, which you can see on the event title. You can also attend as a listen, no pressure to share.
• 🥂Socials ~ Socials will be a space to meet others with similar experiences and create community. We host socials in London at pubs, cafes or outside when the weather is nice in the summer
• 🎄Special Holiday Events ~ We know how hard the holidays can be for people who deal with toxic family or have had to distance themselves from relatives. We will be hosting events during Christmas, Easter, Mother/Father's day and more to come together during these times.
If that sounds like your cup of tea, come check out one of our events! Hope to see you there :)

Disclaimers:
• These events are not therapy sessions nor are they hosted by a therapist. We will do our best to safeguard everyone's mental health and provide trigger warnings on the topics discussed before hand
• We ask to please be mindful of sharing particularly heavy topics which might be difficult for some to hear
• In person socials might be at a pub or other place where alcohol is served, however there is no need or pressure to drink if you do not want to. I rarely drink myself :)
