The Blue Crew for Ladies of all ages; if you vote Blue, this group, designed to discuss politics and books, is for you.
The Blue Crew is a social group for ladies of all ages. We will gather for coffee, lunch or dinner at various restaurants. This could be considered a support group. But it is also a group with a mission and that is to preserve our democracy. Participants should feel free to promote or propose action items, in keeping with that mission.
We’re in for a wild ride now that Trump has won the 2024 election. Our democracy is in danger. Just as we don’t want our representatives to roll over to accommodate autocratic objectives; we shouldn’t roll over either. I ask that members speak up to our representatives when you don’t approve of either Trump’s or his administration’s actions. Our democracy depends on it.
Additionally, this is book club with a twist. Each of us can read whatever book or article we want, fiction or non-fiction, on any subject and describe it to the others. We don’t have to all read the same book at the same time. Consider it a bouquet of books.
The main thing is for us to have a fun, enjoyable time, all while keeping our eye on promoting and protecting our democracy.
