Postponed 1 week, sorry - Lepton - 5 miles -

Plenty of hill and some far reaching views on this short walk. Mainly lanes and woodland paths with some field tracks too.

UPDATED after recce on the 3rd. I've changed the route slightly so it just scrapes in at 5 miles. We will be finishing at The Sun pub but there is very little parking on street so we can't start from there. It's another 7 minutes walk back to the cars but it's straightforward. So if you don't want to come into the pub you could try finding a space nearby and leave from there or it is straight up the hill and turn right when you get to the church to return to your car.

The Sun doesn't open till 12 so no loos near the start.

Dogs - most stiles ok but 2 where there's a bit of a jump. No livestock in fields on the recce but there was one that obviously has cows some times (that's the one with awkward stiles). Quite a bit of lane walking with no pavement but plenty of woodland for off lead as well.

Mudwatch - not as bad as I feared so fingers crossed we don't get any downpours. Muddy patches but not too deep or awkward to get through.

lunch - If it's dry we have permission to use the picnic benches at Gawthorpe club. If wet we will be huddling under trees!
