**THE WALK**

* Join me on a 8.6 Miles, 3 Boot varied walk including open fields, canal towpath, woodland paths, urban walking, some muddy paths and 1 tunnel.
* This includes the two tunnels path, but last time I did this walk we decided one is enough for a good walk, so we will bypass the Devonshire tunnel.
* This will be a hilly walk with some excellent views.
* The pub has loos at the start, if open. And public loos not far from lunch place.
* Walking time 4.0hrs approx. + lunch so about **4.5hrs ish depending how we go.**

**START TIME & PLACE ⌚**

* Meeting outside the Wheelwrights Arms at 10:15am, for a 10.30 start.**WALKING BOOTS on** ready to go.
* There is on road parking, plus a free village car park, and the pub are usually happy to let those staying after to use the large pub car park.

**LUNCH**
Stopping slightly over halfway round the walk for lunch, please bring a pack lunch.
Also remember to bring enough water for the duration of the walk.

**DOGS**

* Well behaved Dogs & owners **ARE WELCOME** on this walk but will need to be on leads for much of the walk, so it is not ideal for dogs.

**WEATHER**

* If bad weather is forecast, the walk will be cancelled the day before.
* Unless dreadful weather on the morning of the walk, then the walk will be cancelled by 8 am.

* If you sign up and then decide not to go at the last minute, please change your RSVP to NO so someone else can go, many thanks.

**DEBRIEF**

* For those who need a pause before heading home we can stop for refreshments at the Wheelwrights Arms.

**Boot rating for walks: -**
**1 Boot** \- For all walkers\. Mainly flat surfaces\, minimal ascents & descents\, around 4 miles on well\-defined paths\.
**2 Boot** \- Suitable for most walkers\. Small ascents and descents 4\-6 miles typically\, in countryside on rough paths\.
**3 Boot** \- For regular walkers\. One or more steep ascents/descents 6\-8 miles on rough terrain\.
**4 Boot** \- Suitable for strong walkers\. Hilly terrain\, with steep/long ascents/descents\. More than 8 miles\. e\.g\.\, Brecon Beacons or Mendips\.
**5 Boot** \- Suitable for strong walkers\. Hilly terrain\, with steep/long ascents/descents\, often on loose terrain\. More than 10 miles in challenging terrain \(e\.g\.\, Snowdon or Pen\-y\-fan\)\.
