THE WALK
Join me for an 8.5 mile circular walk with stunning views, a babbling brook, reservoir, postcard cottages and ancient woodland. We'll head off over farmland towards Hinton Blewett where we will be rewarded with stunning views before descending to skirt Litton's Lower reservoir. We'll then head to East Harptree village where we'll make our way through woodland before making our way back to our starting point enjoying views of Chew Valley lake on the way.
This is an undulating walk, with a couple of hills including one steep hill.

AFTER THE WALK
There will be the opportunity to stop for a drink at the Crown after the walk for those who want to.

START TIME, PLACE AND PARKING
Meet at 10.15 am for a prompt start at 10.30 am from outside The Crown pub, The Street, West Harptree BS40 6HA. Please arrive in time to park and "kit up" ready for a prompt 10.30am start. There is on street parking on roads around the Crown pub.

LUNCH
We will be stopping half way round the walk for a short break , so please bring a drink and packed lunch.

DOGS
There is space for up to 2 well behaved dogs which are agile enough to cross stiles/gates etc. Dogs must be kept on leads when using foot paths that cross private land. Please let me know if you wish to bring a dog.

WEATHER
If severe weather is forecast the walk will be cancelled by 8 am on the morning of the walk at the very latest. PLEASE CHECK ON THE DAY BEFORE YOU LEAVE FOR THE WALK.

VOLUNTARY DONATIONS
We will be asking for small voluntary donations (suggested 20p) to go towards paying for the groups franchise cost.

CANCELLATIONS
If you sign up and then decide not to go, please change your RSVP to NO so someone else can go. Please do this at the earliest opportunity so others have sufficient notice. Please remember to do this when you are on the waiting list as well.

BOOT RATING SYSTEM FOR WALKS HERE:
**1 Boot** \- For all walkers\. Mainly flat surfaces\, minimal ascents & descents\, around 4 miles on well\-defined paths\.
