We will take a short walk along the A 370 then out of Flax Bourton. We go through the pleasant peaceful Bourton Combe.
Hopefully there will be the sent of wild garlic in the air. I think not this time of year. We will just have to imagine it. Through a farm with rare breed sheep. Working our way across fields and tracks to Barrow Gurney with some wonderful views across Bristol and surrounding aeries .
There are stiles to go over gates to go through. Also there maybe cattle in the fields. After the walk we can go to the Angel Inn Long Ashton for refreshments and a natter.

We will be asking for small voluntary donations (suggested 20p) to go towards paying for the groups franchise cost.

Please arrive by 10:15 for a 10:30 deparcher.

**Volunteers required for backmarking**

* I am looking for some volunteers to help with the important task of "Backmarking" (helping keep the group together), your help would be much appreciated by the group.

* It is advisory that participants carry hand sanitizer.
* If you **FEEL THE SLIGHTEST BIT UNWELL** on the morning of the walk, **DO NOT ATTEND** and change your RSVP to "Not Going", thanks.

* If bad weather is forecast, the walk will be cancelled the day before.
* Unless dreadful weather on the morning of the walk, then the walk will be cancelled by 8 am.

**1 Boot** \- For all walkers\. Mainly flat surfaces\, minimal ascents & descents\, around 4 miles on well\-defined paths\.

**3 Boot** \- For regular walkers\. One or more steep ascents/descents 6\-8 miles on rough terrain\.
**4 Boot** \- Suitable for strong walkers\. Hilly terrain\, with steep/long ascents/descents\. More than 8 miles\. e\.g\.\, Brecon Beacons or Mendips\.
