What we’re about

The study of Economics has traditionally been referred to as "the dismal science" for a number of reasons--some still relevant today, and some not so much.

In this group, we will analyze and discuss the most dismal sections of this "dark forest," in the attempt to gain insight into the causes and effects of such things as market crashes and panics, depressions and recessions, governmental trade, tax, monetary and fiscal policies, the influence of technological advances on the public, labor laws and policy, and so on.

The better understanding of such economic storms will not stop them from coming, but may help one to either avoid them or to weather them.
