What we’re about
Welcome to the Secular Community Of The Triad!
We are a community. We welcome you. We are as inclusive as can be. In the interest of making the world a better and more accepting place, we have and will continue to organize volunteer events like adopt-a-highway and bag donations for Interactive Resource Center.
There are Secular Sundays where we come together to discuss and share everything from contemporary politics, to deconversion stories, to our triumphs and failures - as a community. We have Drinking Skeptically nights at local bars, festivals, and people's houses. Join us for movie nights, baseball games, potlucks, and any other memory-making get-togethers.
A lot of us have lost communication with family members and friends because we thought differently about the existential questions of life. A lot of us haven't been able to find a place that welcomes people who don't want to be a part of a bronze age way of thinking. A lot of us get tired of hearing the question, "So, where do you go to church?" A lot of us are transplants, new to the area, and are looking for a community. There are Secularists, Humanists, Unitarians, Atheists, Agnostics, and even a religious person or two who have their own reasons for coming - ask them.
Atheists are, according to certain studies, the least trusted minority - https://www.patheos.com/blogs/danthropology...
We would like to change that.
We are a community of individuals. And, we are here for you, if you would like.
