Clarence Fahnestock State Park - 5 miles of Laughter and Good Old Fashioned Fun!

Dennis and I will be joining Helene and Dan from the Shawangunk Hikers for our yearly joint group fun. 

Clarence Fahnestock State Park Trails. Approximately 5 Miles. Rated B. 1350 ft elevation gain.

We will be hiking a loop that consists of the Fahnestock (Blue), Route Hill Bypass (Green) and School Mountain (White) trails. We will ascend a mountain along our trek. Once we complete the summit there is a long, more leisurely hike out where we will get to see the remnants of old stone walls and foundations. We will continue hiking by small streams and a small meadow.

We will be hiking at a moderate pace. Our main goal is for us to have FUN, LAUGH and enjoy a sense of camaraderie in these stressful times. We stay together as a group - no running ahead! We take breaks as needed. We will have a sweep to ensure everyone’s safety. Be sure to bring plenty of water, have sturdy hiking boots and wear appropriate clothing for cold weather hiking. For anyone interested we will get eats and drinks after the hike at El Coyote Mexican Restaurant.
