Introductory session: AI threatens creative jobs. How is it best to respond?

In this introductory session for this new group, we will be looking at Generative AI, and how to use it in creative work. Note that you don't have to be a creative professional to come to the session if you find the subject of interest.

There is no getting away from the fact that Generative AI is a serious threat to many creative professionals. Not only is Generative AI able to create works that are good enough to replace some professional creative work, but the very concept of Copyright — which has legally protected creative works for more than two centuries — is under threat.

James will do a presentation about how he sees these current threats and how to turn them into opportunities for creative professionals, and then we will discuss it, and future possibilities for this group.
