What we’re about
A casual in-person and online meetup group, that is intended for young neurodiverse adults to hang out with their fellow peers and socialize in a way that best suits them. Intended as a respite from the challenges of the neurotypical world and the often extreme expectations often put upon adults with disabilities.
Based in the Sarnia area, I (Alex) am an Autistic Non-Binary bean, who was interested in creating a space where other like-minded neurodivergent adults could meet, socialize and find others who like them may have trouble connecting to the broader neurotypical world and the many socialization techniques such as masking, designed to assimilate neurodivergent folks into being seen as "acceptable" and "normal" people as opposed to embracing our true, awesome selves!!!
This group will hopefully be a hybrid of In-person and Online hang-outs (*The group's official Discord server will be located at the bottom for easy access!) and hopefully engage in fun activities such as but not limited to:
- In-person/Online meetups (i.e, general discussion, hangouts, etc)
- VR/Arcade fun
- Laser Tag
- Rock Climbing
- Movies
- Board Game nights
- Bonfire/Smores outings
- Nature walks/Bird-spottings
- Craft/Hobby nights
- Beach outings
