Markets and Hipster Fitzroy Walk

Rose Street Market, Fitzroy Mill Market and street photography walk, plus pub lunch .

Starting out with 2 markets in an area with plenty of urban grunge, this event will incorporate a street photography walk down the hip streets of Fitzroy.
Take advantage of the art markets to get some shots of the market wares, sellers and customers, and heaps of street art. On the street walk, explore some of the little side streets, and enjoy the passing retro fashion parade! As we' ll be walking past some eclectic shops and cafes, one of the themes you can choose to focus on is shop displays, reflections in windows, the intersection between inside wares/ outside shoppers. See photos 1& 2 for suggestions for this theme!
You can also choose to have lunch at a local Fitzroy pub, or make alternative arrangements along Brunswick Street.

SCHEDULE

10.15 am Meet outside entrance of Rose Street Artists Market ( 60 Rose Street , Fitzroy) for 10.30 am start.

10.30-12.00pm Rose Street Market and also Fitzroy Mill Market ( 75 Rose Street) and surrounds, including carparks.

**12.00pm *Meet up at corner Rose Street and Brunswick Street to head up Brunswick Street ( towards Gertrude Street) .

12.30 - 1.30 pm Lunch optional at Workers Club Fitzroy ( 51 Brunswick Street ) , located on corner of Brunswick St and Gertrude Streets . Lunch menu includes burgers, club sandwich, salad , meatball subs, veg options for around $16.

1.30 - 2pm Walk along Gertrude Street, in direction of Smith Street.

2pm-2.45pm Walk along Smith Street.

3pm Coffee and cake or a biscuit at Smith's Cakes ( 297 Smith Street) , an old school Italian cafe with homemade Sicilian pastries and cakes.
