Bonus Get-Together! December Bookstore Crawl!

Our last bookstore crawl was a hit - let's do another! This get-together is for those of us who want: 1. more than just our once-monthly meetings, 2. to explore parts of the city, 3. to socialize and make new friends, and 4. to stock up our TBRs or do some holiday book shopping. We'll be on the Upper East Side, hopefully away from the midtown crowds.

Some quick notes followed by the itinerary:

1. You don’t have to stick to the whole schedule, it’s to give you a gauge of where we’ll probably be and when. Join us when you want and leave when you want, skip ahead or lag behind, buy more than you can carry or nothing at all. This event is shorter than our last book crawl - we're doing a half-day this time.

2. Some of these shops are small and others very large, hence the differences in the estimated time spent at each. Travel time is what’s allotted between locations based on Google Map’s walking estimates.

3. If you'd like to stick around afterwards for drinks, we'll go to Dylan Murphy's on 82nd and 3rd.

Unless the weather is extreme, we’ll be having this crawl rain or shine, so plan accordingly. This description will be edited with any relevant updates regarding other situations as well, such as if a store closes.

The Itinerary:

1. The Book Cellar. 3:00 – 3:45 pm. 1465 York Avenue
   Let's start at this used bookstore located in the basement of Webster Library. It's a great place to find some forgotten titles.
2. Albertine. 4:05 – 4:35 pm. 972 Fifth Avenue
   The Albertine is a beautiful French-themed bookstore (books available in French and English) on Fifth Avenue.
3. Barnes and Noble Upper East Side. 4:55 – 6:00 pm. 1550 3rd Avenue
   Back to our old favorite - this B&N is not quite as big as the Union Square location but still has a great selection!
4. Dylan Murphy's. 6:10pm 1453 3rd Avenue
   If you still have some energy, come join for drinks at Dylan Murphy's afterwards!
