Food Pantry Service Project
Details
Hey Neighbors!
We're back—with special permission—to serve West Valley Community Services together on Thursday night this time: Thursday November 21 from 5:30-7pm.
WVCS has a lot of donations coming into their food pantry these next couple months, and they need help sorting the donations! In particular, we'll be making sure that goods that are WAY past the expiration date do not pass go, and we'll also help them categorize by type to make it easier to stock their shelves. Dress warmly! We'll be sorting canned goods outside.
We've got so many GREAT people in this group who still haven't gotten a chance to meet one another. This will brings new meaning (or maybe just the OG meaning) to co-working: getting to work alongside each other, but on the same projects! Sign up if you plan to be there—or if you have questions and would like to learn more, message us!
Also, we get it: life happens and plans change. If you decide to not come after signing up, please change your RSVP. Accurate RSVPs will help us to help this wonderful non-profit org plan/prepare for how many people they will have serving that day and right-size the project for us.
Other fun facts: you're always welcome at The Neighborhood, the free coworking collective at 6191 Bollinger Rd in Cupertino from 1-5pm MOST Mondays and Fridays (pay attention to the dates of the Meetups—if there's one scheduled, we're going to be there and open! With free coffee, wifi, snacks, and best of all, great people and the opportunity to get work done and also build community.)
We also have an upcoming Open Mic on Friday December 13 (see the Open Air Open Mic group), as well as an early Christmas service on Sunday December 22nd with carols, candlelight, and a Christmas message, followed by hot cocoa and cookie-decorating. Both the Open Mic and the early Christmas service will start at 7pm!
But as for 12/12:
