Join me on a beautiful nature walk from the edge of Leersum through the estates and forests of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug.

Southwest of Leersum lies the patchwork of estates that are part of the Stichtse Lustwarande, a series of hundreds of estates filled with unique nature and history. The trail runs around the water features of Landgoed Broekhuizen, through the grasslands of Landgoed 't Lage Laer and through the woods of Landgoed Voreneng. After crossing the Rijksstraatweg we go deeper into the nature of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. The route runs to the Leersumse Veld and the Leersumse Plassen. The lakes are a fantastic sight in the middle of the vast moors. It is a beautiful habitat for birds, during the breeding season some paths are closed but there are alternatives to continue the route further away from the water.

If you come by car let us know if you can take others with you, sharing the costs.
