Gardening Chat: Seed Starting, Ordering and Exchanging
Details
January is seed ordering and starting month. Last year, Peter and I tried a (new to us) seed starting technique in which we started the seeds in containers OUTSIDE (without lights) as soon as January. Our success was mostly good (of course we kept a spreadsheet to keep track); the seeds that worked, REALLY worked!
Let's chat about the various ways to start seeds, what seeds you have or will be ordering, and exchange any seeds you may have in abundance.
252 Club* Bag: North Hero
WHAT TO EXPECT: A small group of gardening enthusiasts/wannabees geeking out on veggie seeds. We'll provide morning beverages.
WHAT TO BRING: Any seed catalogs you have (show and tell) and seeds you might like to exchange.
LIABILITY: We looking forward to meeting new people and hosting events in our home. In kind, we hope you will be a responsible guest. By RSVPing for this event you agree to hold us harmless for anything that might happen during this event.
*What is the 252 Club? (Well, actually it's real name is the "251 Club," but a new town was recently added to the list.) It is a club that people join, touch all 251/2 townships in Vermont, and earn a certificate of completion. Peter and I are simply tracking the towns we touch on our own. Our rule is that we must do some type of activity in the town and then take a picture of ourselves (and anyone we did the activity with) near a sign or structure that is unique to the town.
