Editorial Glamour - Tutorial and Practice
Details
Editorial glamour photography is a genre that combines the allure and elegance of glamour photography with the storytelling and thematic elements of editorial photography.
As a prelude to Ottawa Fashion Week in October, we are running another promo event to increase awareness and raise funds.
This event features professional MUA Yasmin Rachelle Bourge. You can see her work at Chair de Pinceau-Makeup Artist (@chairdepinceaumua)
She will be doing lovely editorial glam looks for 3 separate models, and we'll be shooting them 1 per hour starting at 6pm. There are only four RSVPs per hour, but you can RSVP for more than one hour.
Each hour we will focus on one model (perhaps doing a short duo with the prior hour's model before she leaves). In each one-hour session, I will be providing guidance on Lighting & Posing covering topics like:
(we'll tailor this to each attendee's needs and interests)
- Light ratios
- Selecting modifiers
- Ambient vs flash
- Posing using hands
- Eye direction
- Camera height impacts
- Framing and cropping
- Posing vs Directing
This is a hands-on session. No special experience is needed. We provide the lighting. You just need a camera with a standard flash Hot-Shoe.
Each hour is $40. You can RSVP for more than one hour by adding "Guests". EG: 1 guest = 1 extra hour for a total for 2 hours and you will be prompted to pay for 2 hours.
If you want to do all three hours, the flat fee is $100 for all 3.
Just use promo code etransfer. Then you will not be prompted for payment right away. You MUST however then etransfer the full $100 event fee to [email protected] -- and do this within 2 hours to lock in your seat. Otherwise your RSVP can be annulled and someone else may RSVP.
We will slot people into your preferred timeslots on a best effort basis. So be sure to let us know if you have any special constraints.
Booked at present:
18:00 - JaiJeet,
19:00 - JaiJeet, Ko, Della
20:00 - JaiJeet, Alexi, Della
MUA Yasmin is still selecting the most appropriate models and exact looks she'll be creating, but regardless of her final selections, know that you'll have fun upscale images, and all your fees will go to supporting Ottawa Fashion Week. For more info see Fashion Week Ottawa
