Thanksgiving Day Forest Park Morning Hike

ELEVATION GAIN: ~700 feet
RATING: Moderate+
PACE: ~ 2.5 mph
ESTIMATED HIKING TIME: ~ 3-4 hours

Early morning Thanksgiving Forest Park hike, for those who want a work-out to spend rest of the day to indulge in eating, drinking and making merry.

Hiking will be on rain or shine. Please don't sign up if you don't like to hike in rain.

We will meet at Forest Park's NW 53rd Drive Trailhead at 8:00 am.

From the trail-head, we start on Keil on the right and head to Dogwood trail, take left on Dogwood, continue past Wildwood all the way to Leif Ericson. We take left on Lief Erikson, and go about 3 miles, then take left on Maple trail to Wildwood, and final 3 miles on Wildwood and back to car for a 8 mile loop.

WHAT TO BRING:

• Hiking shoes
• 2-3 layers, warm hat, gloves, rain-jacket
• Water bottle, snacks

+A positive attitude and an open mind and heart really goes a long way on my hikes. Anyone with multiple no-shows or who signs up and cancels repeatedly will be removed.
