November Book Club

Our November book is "Water Ghosts" by Shawna Yang Ryan. Come prepared to discuss even if you don’t finish the book!

"Water Ghosts" by Shawna Yang Ryan is a mesmerizing novel that weaves history and mythology around a community of Chinese immigrants and the ghosts that haunt them. Set in Locke, California in 1928, the story begins as three bedraggled Chinese women appear out of the mist in a small Chinese farming town on the Sacramento River. Ryan is a Taiwanese American author and "Water Ghosts" (originally published as Locke 1928) is her first novel.

We will choose our December book at the end of the November book club, so bring ideas too!
