Hello everyone!
How is it already November! 😳 I hope everyone has been well and not too stressed as the busyness of the holidays approach us.
This month’s book is You Are Here by David Nicholls. Get your tissues ready! While this will be my first David Nicholls book, I’ve heard his books can bring on all the feels. So get ready for a potentially emotional journey and we’ll all gather together for support group…I mean book club…when we finish. 😊
The synopsis for this book is posted below.
Please join us at the Brewhouse and Kitchen in Cheltenham for a chat about this book! I will have some guiding questions for us, but please come with any of your own. What did you like? What did you not like/bothered you? Was it too steamy for you or not steamy enough?
Synopsis:
Sometimes you need to get lost to find your way
Marnie is stuck.
Stuck working alone in her London flat, stuck battling the long afternoons and a life that often feels like it's passing her by.
Michael is coming undone.
Reeling from his wife's departure, increasingly reclusive, taking himself on long, solitary walks across the moors and fells.
When a persistent mutual friend and some very English weather conspire to bring them together, Marnie and Michael suddenly find themselves alone on the most epic of walks and on the precipice of a new friendship.
But can they survive the journey?
A new love story by beloved bestseller David Nicholls, You Are Here is a novel of first encounters, second chances and finding the way home.
