I have created a "team", so when registering, choose the "Signal Hill Hiking Club" team on the drop down on the registration form. It is the 2nd step while registering when you get to the "payment" section. You need to register yourself and pay. Price is same as last year. It is $30 with a small processing fee of $1.20...so the total is $31.20. Register on the official Long Beach Turkey Trot Website.

Walk or run with your family! There are 2 start time options but as a team we will do the 9:00am start time. You can choose the 5k or the 10k. Walk or run at your own pace. Free Turkey Trot T-Shirts too. :-)

$30 per person until October 29th (see rates below), with the small processing fee, and then the rates go up after October 29th so register now! :-)

Last year for the 14th time the SHHC (Signal Hill Hiking Club) ran as a team in the Annual Long Beach Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning and we had so much fun! This will be our 15th annual year running this as a TEAM.

For many on our team it was actually their first time running in any sort of a race and they all did so great! You can run, walk, a little of both...whatever pace you want and we will all start together and then meet at the end. We all start at 9:00am, but you can choose the 5k or the 10k, and either walk or run...but we will start as a group with team photos. :-)

This Turkey Trot is in Belmont Shore and we run first thing Thanksgiving Day morning along the ocean edge and the weather is typically perfect! Why not join us and feel less guilty at the Thanksgiving dinner table afterwards because you will know that you earned it. :-) And as an FYI, this race benefits one of my favorite community activist Justin Rudd and his nonprofit CAT (Community Action Team).

Please sign up on the Turkey Trot website. You MUST sign yourself up. We are doing the 9:00am 10k/5k. There is a drop-down to add yourself to our "team" the "Signal Hill Hiking Club" AFTER you put the initial information in and click next. Look for the drop down to join a "group".

PACKET PICKUP (Wed. or Thurs.)
At the boat launch ramp/start line at 1 Granada Ave., 90803. Wed., Nov. 27, 4-5:30 p.m. and Thanksgiving morning after 6:30 a.m. Pick up your bib/shirt at least 30 minutes before your start time.
Shirts are not guaranteed to late registrants or late packet pickups.

BRING CANNED GOODS. This is for a charity, so please consider bringing mac & cheese, breakfast cereal, canned fruit, tuna, or peanut butter when you come to the packet pickup/event.

An Important Notice To All Members: As a member of this group, you must agree with this "WAIVER AGREEMENT": As a member, you agree to not hold the "Organizer" and Assistant Organizers liable for issues that might occur during our meet up events.
