AN INSPECTOR CALLS

An Inspector Calls centres on the Birling family, who are visited by a mysterious inspector named Goole during a celebration. The inspector reveals that each family member played a part in the death of a young woman named Eva Smith. It veers from the “who done it” to the “what did it” as Priestley uses the play to critique the selfishness and moral indifference of the upper class, urging audiences to reflect on their responsibilities towards others as it is revealed how each of them contributed to anothers the tragic end.

In 2025 the Genesian Theatre Company will honour both our legacy and an exciting new future. Not only do "we celebrate 80 years as theatre-makers, we open our brand new theatre in Rozelle.
