What we’re about

This group is to bring people together for both an online and in person gaming community. This is for games of all types including, but not limited to, PC Gaming, Online Gaming. Mobile Gaming, Xbox, Playstation, Nintendo, Strategy Board Games, etc. If you have any ideas for meetups, or if you'd like to be an event host, please let me know.
I look forward to meeting you all!

Is there anything I need to sign? I know some clubs have liability forms and such.  Please re-read meetup.com’s terms of service, especially section 6. You agreed to it in order to use this site. You may not have read it, but you had to check the box that said you did. In general, section 6 says if an organizer or any member places a event on the calendar and you get injured or something at it, it’s your own fault. If you can’t live with that, this group isn't for you.
Who runs this group?
Chris runs this group, along with other organizers and event hosts. He can post calendar entries and moderate the message board, as can any other organizer. (Moderate means if someone puts something up that is inappropriate, he can delete it.)
What are the rules?
1. Be safe
2. Be courteous towards others.
3. Use a recent photo of yourself so people can recognize you when you attend any events. You may be removed from the group if you do not follow this rule.
4. Event activities are done at your own risk. That means if someone does something you think is unsafe, don’t do it with them. If that doesn't work for you, tell them about your concerns directly or whoever organized the event that you are uncomfortable, or email the organizers. Nothing may get done about it, so be prepared for that. No one forced you to go to an event, and no one will force you to stay on one. While we hope that you stay for the entire event, you can leave at any time.
In addition:
If someone starts telling you what to do and you don’t agree with it, don’t do it. Use your own common sense and talk to the event host or leave the event if you think it is too risky or you feel uncomfortable.
Start times for events are set for a reason. Please do not publicly ask if other members want to show up early and begin the event before the start time. This includes, but is not limited to comments on the meetup or openly asking to others to start earlier during any other events. You may privately ask people if you wish. Having multiple "start" times will cause confusion, make it difficult for members to meet each other, and make it harder for others enjoy the event if people have already began the event before they arrive.
Do not message other members via Meetup in attempt to get a ride to any of the events. The events we plan are for people to enjoy themselves, not to feel obligated to bring you to them. Please plan accordingly.
Overall, just have fun
I assume that everyone who joined this group wants to have fun. If that is what you're looking for, this group is for you! I am aware that not all groups are for everyone, so please don't take any offense to the above statements. They are not intended to discourage anyone from joining.
