Turkey Mountain Nature Preserve:
Yorktown, NY

10:00 AM-12:30 PM
With an elevation of 831 feet, Turkey Mountain features spectacular views of the Croton Reservoir, Hudson River and Manhattan skyline! There are approximately 3 miles of trails within the 150 acre preserve that are rated as moderate in difficulty. There is no specific address to get to the trailhead parking lot. Directions from the northbound Taconic State Parkway are posted below. Setting your GPS to the Turkey Mountain Nature Preserve will take you right to the parking lot. For anyone wanting to take public transit, it can arranged to pick a few people up at the Fleetwood Metro-North Station. Please RSVP to group facilitator Joe Nappi at [email protected]. Turkey Mountain Directions:
Located off of NY 118/Saw Mill Road.
Coming north on the Taconic State Parkway, take the Underhill Avenue exit and turn east toward Yorktown Heights. At the first traffic light, turn right onto Route 118. Go 1.9 miles, until there are signs for Croton Heights Road on the left and Croton Heights Rd/Locke Lane will be on the right. Turn right onto the dirt road to reach the parking lot
