5 Mile River Walk + New Year Lunch Option

Let's get together for an easy 5 mile out and back along the Sacramento River. Optional New Year luncheon afterward at nearby Device Brewing.

We begin at Garcia Bend Park, head east (to the left) on the levee, about 2.5 miles out to the water tower and then return. Sweeping river views on one side and beautiful homes on the other. 18-20 minutes miles is about an hour and a half or so walk. Device is 3/4 of a mile down the street.

Logistics: Garcia Bend has lots of free parking available. Be sure to park only in single stalls as the double are for boats only. The park has restrooms. We are meeting at the play structure. Bring whatever you need for your comfort. Weather is projected to be clear and 50.

This has been one of my fav local river walks for 25 years.
