We are doing this hike on Nov. 10, but let's do it again. It's my favorite hike in SoCal. Join me on one of the toughest day hikes in Southern California, the Skyline Trail from the Palm Springs Art Museum to the top of the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway. It's known as "Cactus to Tram" (C2T) or "Cactus to cocktails" (C2c).

The entire hike will be about **10 miles** with over **8,000 ft.** of elevation gain! This one is for advanced level hikers only.

We will be starting the hike at sunrise, which is later than when most groups who are doing the full Cactus to Clouds (C2C) begin. This Later start will allow us to avoid hiking in the dark, but it will mean the temperatures are going to be warmer. Please be prepared by bringing adequate nutrition, electrolytes, and water (minimum 3 liters).

This hike is a precursor / training hike for the full C2C which some of you may be doing in following weeks after this hike.

You need to be in good physical shape and have trained on some other tough hikes recently in order to participate in this event. This is a "committed" hike, meaning once you have started it, you have to finish it. Bailing out at the halfway point is not an option due to high temperatures at the lower elevations and the steep downhill descent.

At the top of the Tram, we will have a lunch/cocktail break at the restaurant and then purchase a ticket for the ride down the tram. Make sure you have cash or a card for that. When we get to the bottom of the Tram, we will have to Uber/Lyft our way for the few miles back to our cars at the museum. Make sure to call for your Uber/Lyft at the top of the tram where the cell service is more reliable than at the bottom.

When you rsvp for this hike, you will initially be put on the waitlist. Priority will be given to those who have hiked with us before.

PARKING - Everyone must street park. The structure parking that used to be free is no longer available. Street parking is limited, so you may need to park a bit away and walk over to the trailhead. CARPOOLING STRONGLY RECOMMENDED, AND PLEASE ARRIVE EARLY. The hike will start at 6:00AM SHARP. IF YOU ARRIVE LATE, YOU WILL HAVE TO CATCH UP WITH US ON THE TRAIL.
