Map of parking lotThis is a family friendly kid-lead bike ride on the VA Capitol Trail. The ride is not exclusive to families and kids, individual members should feel free to join! We will start at the Jamestown Trailhead, stopping at Spoke + Art Provisions (mile 2 +/-) to stock up on lunch/snack items...maybe a latte. We will then continue the trail to mile 6.7 and stop at the Chickahominy Riverfront Park where the kids can eat their lunches, play at the playground and use the restroom before turning around and heading back to the Jamestown parking lot. The trail is not overly strenuous, but the total mileage of 13.4 should be considered. This event is not an ideal ride for those just learning or those that are not comfortable on a bike. There are some hills and road crossings. Parents are required to stay with their kids the entire ride and bike trail etiquette is a must. For those not sure what bike trail etiquette is click this link - Trail Etiquette. CLUB POLICY REQUIRES HELMETS.
