【What is "TOKYO MUM CLUB"?】 *English follows Japanese
*Former "Tokyo International Mums's Meetup"
First of all, thank you for your interest in our community!
"TOKYO MUM CLUB" is a community for mums who:
- Have an international background
- Have a foreign partner
- Are from a country other than Japan
- Can communicate with other members in English
- Want their children to have friends raised in an international environment
We offer a space where mums with international marriages and backgrounds can share their worries, exchange information, and find understanding through events and more.
We mainly organize fun and casual events where mums and their children can participate together.
【Participation Requirements】:
- Mums only (sorry dads!)
- Must have an international background *DOES NOT matter where you are from!
- Must be able to communicate in English
- Must be 18 years or older
*If you are under the age of 18, must be supervised and accompanied by an adult guardian according to the Meetup groups and events policies
*Please note that this is NOT a "language learning group" for practicing English. Our members meet the above criteria and interact based on shared experiences.

【How Our Community Started】:
As a mum myself, experiencing my first maternity leave and returning to work, my life changed completely. Things that were once normal for me became different after becoming a mum.
I felt like I wasn't myself anymore.
I started to feel like I had no value.
But being a "mum" is an incredibly hard job, on a completely different level from any prestigious career. Mums who handle this tough job 365 days a year without a break are brilliant.
This community started because I wanted to support mums who might be feeling a bit down or those who want to stay true to themselves even after becoming mums.
I wanted to connect with other mums who are also working hard every day and give them the energy and encouragement they deserve.
Meeting all of you gives me strength and inspiration too!

まずは私たちのコミュニティにご興味をお持ち頂きありがとうございます！
"TOKYO MUM CLUB"は、下記に当てはまるママ達が集まったコミュニティです。
- 国際的なバックグラウンドがある
- パートナーが外国人
- ママ自身が日本以外の国出身
- 英語で他メンバーとのコミュニケーションが取れる
- 子供に国際的な環境で育った友達グループとの交流を持って欲しい
国際結婚、国際的バックグラウンドがあるママたちだからこそ分かり合える悩みや不安、
情報交換ができる場をイベント等を通して提供しています。
主にママとお子さんが一緒に楽しく気軽に参加できるイベント開催をしています。
【参加条件】
- ママ限定
- 国際的なバックグラウンドがある方 ※どこの出身国の方でも大歓迎です！
- 英語でのコミュニケーションが取れる方
- 18歳以上であること
*18歳未満の場合は、Meetupのガイドラインポリシーより必ず大人の同伴が必要です
*※*英語練習の為の"語学学習グループ"ではなく、上記の条件に合ったママがメンバーとして交流しています :)

【コミュニティ立ち上げの経緯】
私自身、"ママ"として初めて育休・仕事復帰を経験し、人生が１８０度変わりました。
今まで当たり前にしていた事が、ママになって当たり前でなくなってしまいました。
自分が自分で無い感覚に陥りました。
自分は価値のない人間のような感覚になりました。
でも、"ママである"というのはどんなに偉い職業とは別次元の、
とーってもハードな仕事なのです。
そんなハードな仕事を３６５日休みなくこなすママは、とーってもすごいのです。
少し自信をなくしてしまっているママ、ママになっても自分らしくいたい！と思っているママ等... 自分と同じように日々頑張っている他のママたちとの交流を通して、世の中のママを元気にしたいと思ったことがきっかけでした。
皆さんにお会いできることで、私も元気やインスピレーションを貰っています！
