COFFEE, CREATE, CONNECT!

1. PLEASE ONLY RSVP if YOU INTEND TO ATTEND** and UPDATE YOUR RSVP, in consideration to the organizer and other guests in attendance*
2. PLEASE ARRIVE "ON TIME", as late arrivals can disrupt the flow that we have set for the morning. Meeting spot is at the back patio. You will see a hand-made sign that says "Meetup Welcome".
3. Order a minimum of one drink or item if you can, in order to support this wonderful neighborhood establishment that graciously allows us the space to hold our events.

WECOME to COFFEE, CREATE, CONNECT!
We create a safe, fun, open space for all creatives to come and mingle, while practicing their craft. Whether you knit, paint, sketch, write poetry, make lego sculptures, jewelry, or anything else created by "uniquely you".... then you are in the right place.

I am Mariette, your organizer, and I was inspired by a group many moons ago, where creative people came together to help foster community, engage in casual networking, and also help each other with resource-building (ideas, tips on how to do things, etc). I wanted to revive this, right here in San Fernando Valley. In the midst of all this, we are also creating a space to practice your craft when the weekdays/weeknights are not enough.

Meetings are casual, but structured as follows:
First half:
Arrive, settle in, order some food/drink.
An ice-breaker exercise to introduce yourself, get some ideas to share, share your creative goals or aspirations with us, if any.
Second half:
Practice your craft, tables for sit-down writing, sketching, crafting, etc. etc.
Continue networking, share with us something you made, sometimes a poetry-reading.

WHAT TO BRING:
Bring your sketch books, writing pad, anything creative you are currently working on. We make this a casual and fun coffee hang.
Got a work in progress? Some poetry or a story you are working on and you'd like to run it by a few people? Or a piece of art you'd like to share? BRING IT! We'd love to offer feedback or simply sit back and work on your creative piece.

La Rochelle recently opened with a beautiful back patio that is very conducive for creative work. And I can tell you that their coffee and baked goods are EXCELLENT! They have a full breakfast/lunch menu as well.
