Freedom Club Intellectual Society is a Cultural-Revolutionary group founded upon compassion, universal morality, and the development and spreading of a set of ethics, with the ultimate aim of eradicating any Right-Left binaries and restoring unity to the people. Our primary endeavour is to focus on being better moral people.
By discipline and virtue we hope to bypass and teach others that only by developing ourselves as better humans are we able to overcome these issues. Often, our nature is more aligned than it is separated from others.
It is vital to discourage these hateful replacement terms of antipathy which in the cause of social justice manage to only make everything worse by feeding into the problem. Our mission is to transcend these divides by not endorsing the corrosive binary of opposites.
The resolution to this cultural crisis of adversarial exchanges is to enable ourselves to be better people and overcome this rage designed to split us apart.
This organization will also publish through Substack and eventually expand as a full-fledged media company. We welcome aspiring writers on a subscription basis and club membership.
Our editorial board will collectively decide on a set of ethical principles extrapolated from all faiths, ages, and politically/socially expedient views and then produce leaflets, fliers, articles, podcasts and promotional art to achieve our aims.
Our mission is to generate a cultural awakening through pacifism, virtue, self-improvement and a universal set of ethical principles. We will inspire together a new ethos predicated on DIRECT DEMOCRACY, based on pulling the most popular opinion to use as the basis for voting.
Whether you are a communist or a Trump supporter is irrelevant; you must abandon all former political affiliations to be a member.
We are setting out to found a revolutionary philosophy that challenges binary politics, religious, ethnic and social divides through social activism and positive publications. We will need intelligent, active, literary, passionate and creative writers and social organizers if we are to succeed.
In our groups, we will study revolutionary literature, ancient Greek political philosophy, Hinduism, Sikhism, Buddhism, Confucianism, Sufism, and all other expressions of human decency to produce an enlightened philosophy that brings power to the people through culture, and not politics.
By studying history, political science, philosophy and religion we will spread this compassion-based revolutionary group to inspire and recruit members on a subscription basis, and then collectively resolve social and political issues with the sole aim of restoring to the people the right to have a non-political and moral voice that supersedes this failing cultural epoch we are apart of.
I am the well-known author of the novel The Sanguinaires Or What I Hate Most About Everything with a bachelor's degree from the University of Toronto in History and English. We will work with any ethnicity, faith or political groups, and focus on student activism as well as all other members of the disenfranchised.
This is a rough outline and whoever becomes an initial member will have a leadership role in the future of our compassionate, love-based cultural revolution. Details and dates will be listed next month with an aim to have Fight Club up and going before or by the new year. Potentially December 1, 2024, at the Only Cafe on the Danforth.**
