What we’re about

Welcome to our Traditional Yoga Group. This is a space where we explore the deeper layers of practice: body, breath and mind through lead classes that include asana, pranayama and meditation.

In our sessions, we immerse ourselves in a traditional holistic experience beginning with invigorating Breath-work pranayama to prepare ourselves for the physical Asana practice where we flow from one ancient posture to another. We then move through asanas (physical postures) to cultivate strength, flexibility, and balance. Finally relaxing into calming breath-work and meditation, we end with a short check-in session and to air any questions.

This gathering is not just a practice, but an opportunity to experience a wide spectrum of yoga: a journey that transcends the mat, nourishing both the body and spirit.

My name is Davie, and I specialize in teaching traditional yoga. One of the main reasons I teach is to deepen my own understanding of this ancient practice. As my Yogacharya, echoing the wisdom of the Stoic philosopher Seneca, once said, "As we teach, we learn."

Much of my yogic education took place on the banks of the sacred Cauvery River in India, where I had the privilege of learning from Yogacharyas who were educated in a holistic spiritual system rooted in ancient Vedic tradition. Their teachings, steeped in history and supported by modern science, inspire people from around the world to carry forward the rich heritage of Traditional Yoga.

I strive to honor the legacy and energy my mentors have generously invested in me, passing it on with the same dedication and respect for our tradition.

I am a certified RYT 500 with Yoga Alliance and have completed over 700 hours of teacher training in both traditional Hatha and Vinyasa yoga practices.
