Name: Victoria Arch and The Badlands, Gariwerd, experienced, exploratory, 3 day walk.

We have been in this complex area before and it still continues to draw us back. The steep and tough terrain with outstanding rock formations, steep gorges and complex route finding. This walk is off track and exploratory in nature.
1\. We will access this area via The Billywing Gorge\. Continuing on to the Goats Cave\. We will camp in this area\, and spend the afternoon exploring the southern edge of The Badlands\.
2\. Climb up to the Victoria Arch or Jug Handle\, visiting the western edge of the Badlands on the way\. Camp there o/n\.
3\. Exit via the Maze\, visiting Phil’s Folly on the way\.

Time: 3 days.

Start/Finish Location: Harrow Track

Friday Night: Drive up and camp [Buandik Campground](https://www.google.com/maps/search/?api=1&query=-37.252575%2C%20142.27884)

Closest Town: Cavendish

Style: Semi remote area, off track, circuit walk.

Grade: Difficult. Exploratory. Experienced walkers only. Previous experience in extended remote area walking is mandatory.

**RSVP**: You will be put on the waiting list for confirmation by the organiser.
You **MUST** then send a personal message to the organiser to confirm that you are on the list. Failure to do so means that you will be removed from the list.
Also, you must provide detailed answers to the questions which was part of the post (additional info can be part of the personal message as per above) or you will be removed from the waiting list:

1. Fitness, how fit are you and what do you do on a daily/weekly basis?
2. Experience. Are experienced in this type of off track walking? Name the walk / location and your role. Full details are required.
3. Navigation. Can you navigate across trackless terrain using only map and compass?

About 60% of the time spent on the walk will be off track thru scrub and regrowth, there will be some rock scrambling with packs, steep sections. Participants need to be comfortable with all of the above and be a moderate to fast walker while doing so.

Weather: Winter. Be prepared for anything, including snow.

Group size: 4 is ideal. 8 is absolute max.

Be prepared: Clothes for scrubby conditions including gloves. O/N camping sites will be restricted by the terrain.
