Trailbusters

We are a sociable group of people over 50 years old who enjoy hiking, socializing, and spending time with like-minded people. Most of our hikes are around the Triangle area. We keep our hikes between 4 and 7 miles, and occasionally more than 8 miles, with easy to moderate difficulty. We climb mountains, go down into the valley, walk on flat lands and whatever is in between.

Terms of Membership: Membership in this group constitutes acceptance of terms and conditions stated here, which are subject to change without prior notice. You agree to receive notice of any such changes via meetup email and understand that remaining in the group after such notice is sent constitutes acceptance of the changes. Please don't submit a membership request if you do not want or cannot meet these terms and conditions. Those in violation of the conditions will receive a warning and/or be blocked from the group.

COVID-19 Policy: If you have Covid-19 symptoms or have tested positive, please refrain from attending activities until your symptoms have resolved. If you have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive, please do not attend any activities until you have been cleared. We recommend being fully vaccinated.

Liability Waiver: Participation in any activity with Trailbusters is at your own risk. To the fullest extent allowed by law, you waive any claims against, and agree to indemnify and hold harmless Trailbusters, its organizers, affiliates, employees, officers, directors, and contractors, from all claims of liability of every type (including court costs and legal fees) for injury or death to any person or for damage to property arising out of or relating to your participation as a member. This agreement applies to you and any other party who may accompany you in our events.

Other Rules.
Trailbusters reserves the right to terminate any member without advance notice if these and other rules are not followed.

• Must be 18 years of age or older to hike with us.
• You are required to use your real name when registering.
• Post and update a recognizable photo of yourself on your profile.
• If you cannot make it to an even that you RSVP’ed “Yes”, please change your RSVP in a timely manner so members on the waiting list can join. No need to provide justification for changing your RSVP.
• Respect other members’ privacy and personal boundaries.
• No smoking allowed on our hikes.
• Refrain from attending hikes if you have infectious disease such as the flu.
